Our Hiring Process

Stage 1

Application Review

Once we receive your application someone on the team will review all information you shared with us. We do our best to let you know whether or not we're moving forward within 2 weeks, but depending on the number of applications we receive this may take a bit longer.
Stage 2

Initial interview with the People team

This initial interview takes around 30 min and will be via video.
You'll have a conversation with a member of our People team where you'll learn more about Spare, ask any questions you might have, and talk about your previous experiences, skills and why Spare matches your career goals.
Stage 3

Online assignment

During this step, you will be requested to complete a technical assessment.
Stage 4

Technical Interview

This is a more advanced technical interview, related to skills that are required for this team.
You'll also have the opportunity to meet another member of our Engineering team and ask them any questions you'd like, to learn even more about Spare.
Stage 5

Final behavioural interview

This is a behavioural interview and should take 60min. In this step you will talk about your career goals, how you connect to Spare, what you value in a team's culture and more.
You'll have the chance to ask more strategic questions, and hear more about Spare and the Engineering team from the manager you'll be reporting to.
Stage 6

Background check and references

As part of the selection process at Spare, we ask all prospective hires to complete criminal background and reference checks through a third-party provider.
