Our Hiring Process
- Stage 1
Application Review
Once we receive your application someone on the team will review all information you shared with us. We do our best to let you know whether or not we're moving forward within 2 weeks, but depending on the number of applications we receive this may take a bit longer.
- Stage 2
Initial interview with the People team
This initial interview takes between 30 and 45 min and can be via video or audio only.
You'll have a conversation with a member of our People team where you'll learn more about Spare, ask any questions you might have, and talk about your previous experiences, skills and why Spare matches your career goals.
- Stage 3
Interview with the hiring manager
This behavioural interview should take around 30 minutes and it will be via video.
In this step, you'll have the opportunity to meet the person you'll be working with. You'll talk about your previous experience in-depth and answer questions about previous situations you have encountered.
We'll also open some time for you to ask any questions and learn more about Spare and the team you'd be working at.

- Stage 4
Technical Demo
This will be a 1h technical interview via video, involving a 30min demo.
We'll provide instructions beforehand so you can prepare and know what's involved.

Final interview
This is a 30min behavioural interview via video with our executive team.
You'll have the opportunity to meet someone different from Spare to learn more about our strategy and culture. We'll set time aside to answer any questions you may still have and we'll also want to learn more about your experience and career.

Background check and references
As part of the selection process at Spare, we ask all prospective hires to complete criminal background and reference checks through a third-party provider.
